What We're Up To
We had a busy and fun first week of school! We played games to learn each other's names, wrote our hopes and dreams for first grade, created our class rules together, and jumped in to reading and writing workshop!
We spent time thinking, talking and charting about the reasons we come to school. After a few days, we turned those reasons into specific goals that students set for themselves this year.
Students played a game where they had to think of something to bring to an imaginary picnic. The catch? They could only bring food that started with the same letter as their name!
